Road closed in Warsash after boy hit by bus

A road was closed in the centre of Warsash last night (January 29) after an eight-year-old boy was hit by a bus.

The boy was knocked down by the bus at the junction of Warsash Road and Church Road at around 5.25pm. Police closed the road while they dealt with the incident.

An ambulance from the South Central Ambulance Service Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) was despatched to the scene and treated the boy for shock. He did not suffer any other injuries as a result of the collision

Police reopened the roads to traffic at about 6pm.

A police spokesperson said: “There was an RTC at 5.25pm on Tuesday, January 29 at the junction of Warsash Road and Church Road involving a bus and an eight-year-old boy.

“The ambulance attended and checked over the boy who suffered no injuries.”
