Fareham Town were well beaten by Bemerton Heath Harlequins in a 3-0 defeat.
The loss was their first in the Sydenhams Premier Division since December 4.
Fareham lacked a real spark and weren’t really able to create many clear cut chances. This comes after a good run of recent form which has seen the side slowly move in the right direction up the table.
This result puts a dent in their hopes to finish as high as possible in the league.
As a result, the Creeksiders slip to ninth in the table, but worryingly teams in and around their position have games in hand on them.
Their next match is in the Russell Cotes Cup with an away trip to Lymington Town on February 5.
