Drivers are being warned that a major road linking Warsash with the A27 is to be closed for the day this Friday (August 2).
Barnes Lane is to be resurfaced between the junction with St Paul’s Road and the turning for Sarisbury Infants’ School, near the turning for Holly Hill Park.
Signs have been in place for several weeks warning the road will be closed for three days from tomorow (July 30) but a spokeswoman for Hampshire County Council said they anticipated completing the work in one day and would only be starting on Friday.
A signed diversion route will be in place and residents have been informed with a letter drop.
The works has been scheduled as part of Hampshire County Council’s Operation Resilience programme to repair worn out roads across the county.
