Plans for improvements in Titchfield will be displayed at an exhibition next week.

Residents can see the proposed changes to the High Street and Southampton Hill which aim to enhance the character of the village. The exhibition is being held at the Parish Rooms on Tuesday (June 12).

Proposals include reinstating three areas of cobbles in the High Street, as well as planned structural maintenance for Southampton Hill as part of Hampshire County Council’s Operation Resilience programme.

The public can consider the plan to replace an area of under-used hard paving at the junction of the High Street and Southampton Hill with trees, grass and a bench.

This aims to create an area in keeping with the village’s character and to make the entrance and exit on to the High Street more attractive.

Designs for possible improvements near the entrance of the Parish Rooms and widening of the narrow pavement outside the Queen’s Head public house will be on show.

The plans by Hampshire County and Fareham Borough Councils will be on show between 10am and 7pm.

Officers from both councils will be on hand to explain the plans and answer any questions. To submit any views or for more information click here.
